About the painting:
This painting idea originated from one of my favorite childhood memories of my father entertaining my brother and me with fantasized tales of a seaman and “octopuspalooza”. He would engage our enamored little minds late into the night as we sat around a fire on our family camping trips or on our back porch as we listened to the crickets and watched the fireflies emerge. The name of the art show, Abstractapalooza, made me immediately recall these precious memories so I had to make a painting dedicated to the tale for the show.
