Indigo and Lilies
This piece was painted with watercolor pencils in my moleskine art journal. I started this journal a year ago, hoping it would help my artistic inspirations and allow me to quickly sketch or paint ideas from my mind without worrying too much about perfectionism.
One of my favorite birds is the Indigo Bunting. I like using complementary colors as much as I can in my art, so I added the orange Daylilies. I wanted this painting to be calm and serene, so I lightly painted cool colors into the background. Watercolor pencils on paper July 25, 2017 |
